Hotel Port Benidorm has reopened after a full-scale transformation that redefines the city’s skyline. Bagon Muebles was the manufacturer chosen to furnish its public areas and guest rooms with custom furniture, wall panelling and ceilings.
One of the most established hotels in Benidorm, Port Benidorm has completed an ambitious renovation that positions it as a benchmark for the new wave of resort hospitality in the Valencian Community. The investment of more than €10 million includes a new 26-storey tower, the Sky Tower, and raises the hotel’s capacity to 410 rooms.
This complex now centres on two connected towers. The Blue Tower, home to the fully renovated guest rooms, and the Sky Tower, designed around panoramic views and a closer connection to the Mediterranean. Also the top floors house The Iconic by Port Hotels, a premium concept with 20 exclusive rooms and personalised service.
The challenge: furnishing a landmark hotel
A project of this scale called for a partner able to manufacture furniture that combined design, durability and functionality. The brief was clear:
- Durability to withstand heavy use and frequent cleaning in a high-turnover hotel.
- Design consistency with the hotel’s new identity, built on contemporary style, wellbeing and the Mediterranean.
- Customisation to suit very different spaces, from guest rooms and public areas to the new dining and wellness venues.
With more than 50 years of experience and over two decades specialising in contract furniture, Bagon Muebles was the right partner for the job.
The biggest challenge was fitting out the public areas, where we manufactured wall panelling and ceilings that bring warmth, personality and sophistication to each space. Altogether with the bespoke furniture, these elements are essential to creating memorable experiences in hospitality.
Our ability to work with a wide range of materials, including natural wood, marble, metal and fabric, allowed the furniture to blend seamlessly with Port Benidorm’s new identity. As a result, a set of elegant, welcoming and modern spaces meet guests who increasingly value distinctiveness. Materials and the interplay of natural and artificial light were key in every room.
