Project: Hotel Hospes Palau de la Mar

Location: Valencia, Spain
Year: 2025
Scope: Guestrooms
Palau de la Mar is one of those historic buildings that make Valencia one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Its monumental façade and grand entrance lead into an interior defined by striking stained glass, marble staircases and fully renovated guest rooms.

Inside, both the wall paneling and the headboard — which combines upholstered elements in different geometries — echo the patterns found in the carpets and cushions, creating a sense of visual continuity throughout the space.
Meanwhile, the bedside tables adopt a minimalist yet solid design, deliberately stepping back to allow these distinctive shapes to take center stage.
The bench at the foot of the bed has been conceived as a comfortable, functional element — a place to sit while putting on or taking off shoes. Its upholstered seat is set at the perfect height to ensure ease of movement and everyday comfort.

In the living area, a pair of cylindrical-based tables with marble-effect tops sits between two facing sofas. The set is forming the natural focal point for conversation and relaxation.

Only a few carefully selected pieces populate each suite, yet each one features unique details. The result is a space defined by natural light, generous proportions and an effortless sense of calm.

In the bathroom, a custom-designed mirror with two lateral light fixtures provides soft, warm illumination. The black metal profile, matching the structure of the vanity unit, brings cohesion to the overall composition and reinforces the elegance of the space.
