Proyecto: Sercotel Don Luciano Hotel

Location: Sevilla, Spain
Date: 2026
Elements: Wardrobes
Sometimes a renovation revolves around a single piece. When that happens, one standout element becomes the thread that runs through the design and the icon that makes the space unique. That is the case with the custom wardrobes Bagon Muebles created for the Sercotel Don Luciano, a four-star hotel with 116 rooms in the heart of Seville.
Behind a sober façade, the hotel hides a modern, comfortable interior that pays tribute to both Seville and Gipuzkoa. Elegant curves, vibrant metals and warm tones soften the building’s straight lines.

From union headquarters to a hotel in Plaza del Duque
The building, on Plaza del Duque de la Victoria, was for decades the provincial headquarters of Comisiones Obreras, one of Spain’s main trade unions. It retains the hallmarks of 1960s architecture: an austere exterior and an interior designed for function rather than aesthetics.
Turning it into a high-end hotel required a deep architectural transformation. After several months of intensive work, the Sercotel Don Luciano opened its doors on 25 March. Its name honours the Basque roots of the Sercotel group and symbolises the bond between the north and south of Spain, two very different regions that complement each other.

Designer wardrobes in smoked glass and brass, made by Bagon Muebles
The project brief was clear: a luxurious interior, with LED lighting visible through the glass door and brass finishes matching the frame profiles.
Smoked-glass doors and brass profiles. These embody luxury through simplicity, proof that real class needs no ostentation. A slim frame with circular details is paired with a cream interior that sets off the golden elements.
Minibar unit. Next to the wardrobe sits a functional piece that houses the coffee machine, soft drinks and snacks. The finishes here had to be even more refined, since this is the corner where guests pause every morning. A smoked-mirror back panel contrasts subtly with the porcelain worktop, set into a niche.

LED lighting: the finishing touch
A description may not be enough to convey it. But the moment a guest steps into the room, a glimpse of timeless luxury greets them. The LED lights inside the wardrobes, visible through the smoked glass, add the final touch to an ensemble in which every detail has been considered.
